Abstract

This study aimed to find out the extent to which the Balanced Scorecard Card (BLC) is used to evaluate the performance of Libyan commercial banks, represented by Al-Waha Bank. The study relied on analyzing the four dimensions that make up the balanced scorecard: the financial dimension, the customer dimension, the internal operations dimension, and the growth and education dimension.


The study followed the descriptive analytical approach in determining the extent of using the Balanced Scorecard Card in measuring the performance of Al-Waha bank, and the questionnaire method was used to obtain study data. Questionnaire forms were distributed on the study sample, which consisted of (28) individuals, and were evaluated according to a five-point Likert Scale for the purpose of analysis.Study data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Statistical Sciences (SPSS) program. the study concluded that Al-Waha Bank applies the dimensions of the Balanced Scorecard Card, namely the financial dimension, the customer dimension, the internal operations dimension, and the growth and learning dimension. On the other hand, the study recommended further expansion of using of the dimensions Balanced Scored card by Libyan commercial banks in general and Al-Waha Bank in particular.
