The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Research Skills among Faculty Members at the University of Fezzan

Abstract

The study aimed to identify artificial intelligence tools and their role in developing scientific research skills، indicating the challenges faced by users of these skills at the University of Fezzan. Through this، we concluded the tools that enhance scientific research for the target group.

This study targeted faculty members for the academic year 2024-2025 using the descriptive analytical approach through an electronic questionnaire، the results of which showed that artificial intelligence tools contribute to collecting and analyzing data and improving the quality of research writing، as well as the results and formulating accurately. The study revolves around the role of artificial intelligence tools in developing scientific research skills among faculty members at the University of Fezzan، with a focus on the challenges facing their use. The study aims to understand the impact of artificial intelligence on improving research skills and identifying the difficulties and obstacles that prevent full use of them.

The study was conducted in the academic year 2024-2025 using the descriptive analysis approach through a questionnaire that included 83 faculty members. The results showed that artificial intelligence tools contribute to accelerating the collection and analysis of data، improving the quality of scientific writing، and organizing research time. It also helps in accessing diverse sources، and improving the ability to formulate and read texts accurately، which reduces plagiarism.

In order to improve the use of artificial intelligence in scientific research، several recommendations were made to encourage cooperation between academic departments، and strengthen confidence in the accuracy of tools.
