Abstract
This research paper aims to shed light on the economic development in the state of Fezzan and how to develop it through United Nations reports from 1951-1963 AD, according to what the researcher obtained from reports issued by the United Nations mission during the study period, where the paper dealt with the agricultural situation and livestock, And veterinary services, the difficulties they faced, and treatment solutions according to the United Nations mission’s proposals. It also addressed the most important industries in the state, the problems they were exposed to, and how to address them through the mission’s proposals, in addition to this paper’s study of the commercial and tax situation. The paper also attempted to answer some questions: How many economic institutions are in the state of Fezzan? Did you contribute to meeting the citizen’s needs? What difficulties did it face? And what were the United Nations mission’s proposals to develop it? The researcher followed the descriptive narrative approach, identifying and analyzing some of the events. The paper was divided into three main axes and a conclusion: The first axis dealt with the existing economic institutions in Fezzan during the study period, the second axis studied the difficulties to which the economic institutions were exposed, and the third axis addressed the mission’s proposals to develop economic development in its various fields, and the conclusion included the most important results reached by the researcher.
