  • Enhancing Academic Cooperation Among Southern Universities: Fezzan University Participates in a Tri-Coordination Meeting

● As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and activate cooperation among higher education institutions in the southern region, Fezzan University participated in a tri-coordination meeting held this morning, Monday, August 4, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Administration at University of Sebha. The meeting was attended by Professor. Mahdi Al-Jadi, President of Fazan University, and graciously hosted by Professor. Masoud Al-Raqeeq, President of Sebha University, with participation from Professor. Abdul Salam Al-Muthnani, President of Wadi Al-Shatti University.

● This meeting is a continuation of the collaborative path among the three universities, aimed at translating partnership agreements into practical steps that contribute to enhancing academic performance, promoting scientific research, and improving the educational environment in higher education institutions in southern Libya.

● In the context of enhancing academic cooperation, Fezzan University reaffirmed its commitment to its vital role in supporting the university education journey and its efforts to establish values of integration and joint work among Libyan universities through its participation in the meeting. The gathering provided an important opportunity to exchange views on mechanisms for implementing joint programs and activating academic initiatives that meet the aspirations of the current phase and serve the local community.

● Consequently, the university reiterated the importance of supporting efforts that enhance academic unity and establish the concept of sustainable partnership, in order to build an integrated university system that aligns with the aspirations of the south and responds to future challenges.
