The Second Coordinating Meeting for Directors of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centers at Southern Universities
On the morning of Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the second coordinating meeting for the directors of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centers at three southern universities—Wadi AlShatti University, Sebha University, and Fezzan University,was held at Wadi Al-Shati Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This meeting aimed to enhance partnership and joint cooperation and, to activate the role of these centers in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among university students in the region.
This meeting followed up on the first meeting hosted by Sebha University, which was dedicated to discussing the arrangements for organizing the joint entrepreneurial training camp scheduled to take place at the end of August 2025. The camp will be hosted by Wadi Al-Shatti University, with the participation of a distinguished group of students from the three universities.
The discussions focused on the organizational and logistical aspects related to the camp, emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts to ensure a unique training experience that enhances the entrepreneurial skills of youth and prepares them to launch their own projects. This, in turn, would contribute to the local economy through innovation and sustainability.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to distribute tasks among the centers and to prepare a comprehensive training plan that includes theoretical lectures, practical workshops, brainstorming sessions, and presentations by the participating students.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees stressed the importance of continuing this fruitful cooperation among the entrepreneurship centers at southern universities, considering it a pivotal step towards building a supportive environment for entrepreneurial initiatives and emerging projects in the region.
