The University Council held its second regular meeting for the current year (2025) today, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the main meetings room of the Faculty of Education. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Al-Mahdi Milad Al-Jadi, President of the University, and attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Registrar, Deans of Colleges, and Directors of Centers, Departments, and Offices affiliated with the university. The council members discussed the proposed agenda as follows:
- Review and approval of the previous minutes.
- Presentation of incoming correspondence and circulars.
- Follow-up on the progress of studies in the academic departments of the colleges for the Spring semester (2025).
- Follow-up on the quality and institutional accreditation file.
- Presentation of the report from the committee monitoring the university's entry into the (QS) ranking.
- Presentation of preparations for the scientific seminar titled "Inter-trade with Neighboring African Countries" at the College of Arts and Sciences in Qatroun.
- Proposal to reconstitute the Staff Affairs Committee.
- Presentation of the first quarter activities report for the year (2025).
- Presentation of a memorandum regarding the addition of an Artificial Intelligence course to all university colleges.
- Establishing memoranda of understanding for cooperation agreements with regional universities.
- Any other business arising.
