Researchers’ Rights and Responsibilities

  • Fezzan University Scientific Journal is an open-access journal, and it does not charge any publication fees.
  • Authors must ensure originality and adherence to academic methodology in their submissions.
  • Authors are required to submit a written declaration confirming that the manuscript has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere.
  • During manuscript preparation, the author’s name(s) must not be mentioned explicitly or indirectly in the body of the paper or in any way that reveals their identity. Instead, the terms “the researcher” or “the researchers” must be used throughout the text, citations, and reference list.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct a preliminary review of submitted manuscripts and to decide on their eligibility for peer review or rejection.
  • All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism detection software, with an acceptable similarity index not exceeding 25%, in order to ensure academic integrity.
  • The Editorial Board has the right to request any supporting documents it deems necessary to complete the initial review or peer evaluation process. This may include, but is not limited to: statistical data analysis forms, completed survey sheets, or related reports.
  • If a violation of intellectual property laws is confirmed, the author will be permanently banned from publishing in the journal.
  • The journal reserves the right to ask the author to revise or remove parts of the manuscript to align with its editorial policy and may make formal stylistic edits as necessary.
  • The journal notifies the author(s) upon receipt of the manuscript, and again upon acceptance or rejection of the submission.
  • If the author fails to submit the required revisions within two months of receiving feedback from the journal, this will be considered a withdrawal unless the author provides a valid excuse accepted by the Editorial Board.
  • Accepted manuscripts are published in the order of their final acceptance, and an official publication confirmation is issued.
  • Upon final acceptance, copyrights of the manuscript are transferred to Fezzan University Scientific Journal.  
  • Upon final acceptance for publication, the copyright and publication rights of the manuscript shall be transferred to Fezzan University Scientific Journal."
  • If a manuscript is rejected based on reviewers’ feedback, the same manuscript cannot be resubmitted, even if all suggested revisions are made.
  • If the manuscript is derived from a master’s thesis or a doctoral dissertation, this must be clearly acknowledged in a footnote on the title page, with full and proper documentation provided.
  • The author has the right to withdraw the manuscript if peer reviewers fail to provide feedback within sixty (60) days, provided the Editor-in-Chief is informed and approves the withdrawal.
  • Authors have the right to access the evaluation and feedback reports in the event their manuscript is rejected.
